Apple In Talks With TV Networks To Build Set-Top-Box For Live TV

August 16, 2012 | +

Today the Wall Street Journal has said that Apple are in talks to release a set-top-box which would allow you to watch live television and also on demand content

Apple Inc. is in talks with some of the biggest U.S. cable operators about letting consumers use an Apple device as a set-top box for live television and other content, according to people familiar with the matter.

This is not said to be an update to the current $99 TV but for the long rumoured Apple TV Set or a totally new product

It is also worth noting that earlier the company filed a new patent application showing an Apple TV interface which would work really well with Cable TV networks

We Can Expect A New “Revolutionary” Product From Apple With In 8 Months

April 13, 2012 | +

French designer Philippe Starck reveled recently in a radio interview with the french radio show “France Info” that Apple with release a “Revolutionary” Product with in the next 8 months. Starck did not get in to details or specifications as he said it is against Apple’s “religious cult of secrecy.”

“Indeed, there is a big project together which will be out in eight months,”

Mr Starck had been in very close contact with former Apple CEO Steve Jobs before Jobs passed away late last year.

So What Could It Be ?
Well as time goes on we will get to know but we can rule out a new iPad as Apple just recently announced the next generation.

A new iPhone ? maybe the current rumors are suggesting that the next generation iPhone will have an even more industrial design that the current iPhone 4s. I personally do not think that this is going to be the revolutionary product we see in 8 months time.

Apple TV , iPannel or iTV ? Yes this is what I believe French designer Philippe Starck is talking about. The rumor mills have been getting extremely busy through out the last few months about the Apple TV and Steve Jobs him self said he had cracked it. One thing that goes against the Apple tv is that I could not see in the month before the holidays Apple release what is rumoured to be a $2,000 – $3,000 Television set

Let the speculation and countdown begin

Steve Jobs apparently “cracked” the Apple HDTV Market

October 23, 2011 | +

Apple very much wanted to do for television sets what he had done for computers, music players, and phones: make them simple and elegant,” Isaacson wrote.

Isaacson continued: “‘I’d like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use,’ he told me. ‘It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud.’ No longer would users have to fiddle with complex remotes for DVD players and cable channels. ‘It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it.’”

Apple has been rumored to be making TV’s since they first started out.  People have been saying that it would be great if Apple could use Siri Voice Control in they HDTV.  Apple’s iCloud has been introduced lately so there is a chance we might get these HDTV’s soon!

Apple wont be manufacturing the LCD TVs themselves.
